The A-DAP Top Bracket is an efficient way to mount your target plate to a 2X4 wood board/post.

*This is a LIMITED run of armored A-DAP top brackets. Please note: For Armored posts, see HERE.

You are looking at an A-DAP 2.0 Top bracket. This is designed for use with a 2×4 wood post. There are 4 holes which allow you to add our hostage assembly to your top bracket at any point down the road. We manufacture these top brackets from 3/8″ Mild steel. They are not designed to be used as an actual target, and over time they will get hit downrange. Glancing impacts usually do not cause damage but occasionally you may need to replace one of your A-DAP top brackets. This is the component you need when replacing your top bracket. This top bracket will work with ANY generation A-DAP. If you have the older style A-DAP target systems without the adjustable angles, we recommend you purchase the A-DAP 2.0 conversion kit.

Please NOTE: This top bracket DOES NOT include and hardware or target plates.

Description

Not all steel target mounts are created equally.

Our A-DAP system was designed to be extremely easy to use and set up, yet still highly refined. The A-DAP Top Bracket simply slides over a 2X4 post. The target plate then bolts to the top bracket with a 1/2″ Clevis pin. This positions the A-DAP target plate perfectly over the base.

Side benefits of this positioning:

Consistent target placement is vitally important to ensure a well balanced system. A good system will also reliably mitigate fragmentation and get frag sent down toward the ground.

Armored up and ready for serious abuse.

The A-DAP top bracket is typically found in a non-hardened mild steel. The version on this page is manufactured from .394″ AR550 steel. The tube steel is standard mild steel that undergoes a hardening process. This ensures a longer life for the top bracket and more resistance to wear and tear.

Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?
  • Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
