The Genesis Gong Hardware Kit is a small kit of parts that is meant to make it easy for you to maintain your Genesis System. The Grade 8 Carriage Bolt and Compression spring are custom manufactured for our targets, so they will not be found at local hardware stores. If you’re a higher volume shooter, consider grabbing this hardware kit to keep your systems rolling.

Our Tee Post and Single Hole Gong Mount are very universal and interchangeable. Having the capability of changing between Genesis gong targets. However hardware tends to wear out. ThisHardware Kit will rebuild one entire Genesis Gong.

• (One) 1/2″ X 2.5″ Grade 8 Carriage bolt (yellow zinc finish)
• (One) Custom Compression Spring
• (One) Locking Nut

How long does the factory hardware last?

This will depend entirely on how much you use your target. Additionally, how often you shoot the bolt head with a rifle will change the lifespan of this hardware. If most of your rounds are landing on the plate and not striking the bolt head, you should get a year or two of use out of a single bolt. If you are a higher volume shooter, your bolt might only last a few months. Don’t gamble on that, simply stock up on some spare hardware and keep your system ready for training. When you replace the bolt, inspect your target plate. If your plate is worn out, consider replacing it with a NEW genesis system.
