What This Promo is All About
Over the last year, our team has been constantly discussing ways we can make steel targets achievable for everyone. Look, we get the fact that steel targets are quite the investment. I mean, we do after all manufacture what are arguably the strongest, highest performance targets on the market. We understand the costs and we do everything possible to make the best systems without sacrificing ANYTHING. One idea our team threw around was sneaking these little 3″ X 6″ gongs in between the smaller spaces of our steel sheets. We filled every hole, every gap, and the result was hundreds of these postcard gongs. So we knew: one way we could give back to you, was to simply give these gongs away. Why we created the Genesis Line of AR500 Targets
I wanted to also paint the picture as to why we launched the Genesis AR500 systems back in 2024. Since our inception, we have been almost exclusively focused on the highest performance, premium steel target systems that money could buy. But we recognized that our AR550 Exodus line is simply out of the budget of so many people. It was for that reason that the Genesis Line of AR500 targets was designed and created: To fill a void we knew we left. To help shooters of all walks to get into steel targets that are safe and long lasting. The Genesis Line of AR500 targets offers a better entry price point while still offering great performance and most importantly: SAFETY.
Why Steel Targets?
Steel Targets are a very efficient way to train. They set up in seconds, and they basically last forever when used properly. From a sheer standpoint of efficiency, they are one of the best tools you can invest in. Paper targets are VERY important as well for specific tasks, but if you’ve priced out USPSA targets, you know how expensive they are. It doesn’t take long to get to the price of a quality steel target system if you train on USPSA targets often. Further, steel targets keep ranges clean of trash and junk. They offer immediate feedback when struck, which can aide in building your skillset and foundation of performance. They are safe, long lasting, and can speed up the process of skill building. We are passionate about them because we have seen our steel targets change lives across this world.
What else will you need with your 3X6 Gong?
The biggest question we get with gongs is “How do I hang it up?” That answer is very simple. You can get creative and use straps, rubber, chains, or even a shepherds hook. Those will all work, but they aren’t our recommended methods. What we would recommend most for this specific gong, is our Genesis T-Post Bracket. This will be the absolute least expensive, best option for this gong. We do also have our Genesis Single Hole 2X4 mount. This will work, however we recommend the T-Post mount over the Single Hole mount. This is because the small width of the 3X6 gong doesn’t fully protect the single hole mount. So if you go that route, be sure you don’t miss! Otherwise, a round could strike and damage the single hole mount behind the plate.

The 3X6 Gong is an amazing place to start. Grab a T-Post bracket at the same time, then get to training. But what if you are looking for more? As you progress, invest in our premium line
As you progress further and further, it may begin to make sense to invest on our premium line of AR550 steel target systems: Our Exodus Systems. The Exodus Line of Targets features impressive warranties (Lifetime Warranty for the 1/2″ AR550 plates!), high performance, closer distance ratings, and overall stronger designs. While they are certainly overbuilt for an occasional shooter, they are perfect for those who want to buy once, replace NEVER.
