A-DAP Steel Target Mount
The A-DAP Steel Target Mount is the latest generation of our A-DAP target mounts. This current generation will work for ALL generations of our silhouette targets. Whenever we release an update or a new product, we put immense effort into commonality. You deserve a new bracket that is backwards compatible. Good news: If your current top bracket is worn out, this Gen 5 version is compatible. Grab one today to keep your systems in action.
New design, new functions.
The mount features two halves that are bolted together via (4) included carriage bolts with nuts and washers. This offers a distinct advantage over the welded unit. Previous top brackets were prone to “locking” onto boards if left in extremely damp conditions. The 2X4 boards were swelling and locking themselves into the bracket in these conditions. This was extremely difficult from a serviceability standpoint. Now simply unbolt the bracket from the post in these situations for maintenance.
This new mount is laser cut and CNC formed from 3/16″ steel. Forming is done to exacting standards for consistency and quality.
Backwards compatibility.
The Gen 5 mount is backwards compatible with all generations of our A-DAP system and hostage assemblies.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1.) Will we continue manufacturing the ADAP 2.0 Top Bracket?
Answer: No. We are moving away from welded top brackets in favor of a more refined, more serviceable top bracket like the Gen 5 Top Bracket.
2.) Will the Gen 5 Top Bracket work with my current TA Targets A-DAP systems?
Answer: Yes! If you purchased an A-DAP system from us at ANY time, this top bracket is compatible.
3.) Does the Gen 5 Top Bracket work with the hostage assembly?
Answer: Yes. You can use the hostage bracket with this new mount.
4.) Is the Gen 5 Mount made from armored steel?
Answer: No. This is 3/16″ Mild steel that is formed into shape. Bullet impacts WILL cause damage and are not covered under warranty.
5.) Why am I seeing (2) 3/8″X3 Carriage Bolts??
Answer: We include these extra bolts so you can fasten your Gen 5 top bracket into your Breakdown Base. We include these bolts with EACH top bracket, even if you are not buying a Breakdown base. If you do not need them, simply recylcle them.
6.) Where Are These Products Produced?

7.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?
Answer:Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist. 9.) Does the Gen 5 Top Bracket include anything else?
Answer: The product you are looking at is JUST the top bracket. This does not include any bases or target plates.
10.) What boards will fit into the A-DAP Gen 5 Mount?
Answer: Any standard 2X4 will work. You can also purchase our custom target post boards (coming soon).
