Thickness, type of steel, and how it hangs are factors that go into how a piece of steel rings. Our AR550 systems tend to have a deeper ring that can be picked out from further distances than most. On the other hand, our Genesis line features a more tinny high-pitched ring. ⁠

As we have gotten more into the long range game, we have been using a few different rifles. One of them is a @primaryweapons 6mm Arc that allows us to shoot more rounds without spending a chunk of change to reload and get more reps in for long distance shooting. ⁠

We wanted to show how mild steel reacts to bullet impacts and we were able to successfully show that it is incredibly easy for craters to form and send frag back to the shooter. Hardened steel like our AR550 does not have this risk when used correctly.⁠
