The Conduit Gong Target System are a no nonsense simplistic way to get you onto the range training with purpose. This is easily the least expensive and simplest/fastest system we make. It takes less than a minute to assemble. Spend less time maintaining, more time shooting with this package. The 3/4ā³ Conduit is lightweight yet strong enough to hang a couple gong targets from. It is readily available all across this nation. Choose to add the conduit pipe on this page OR simply source some 3/4″ EMT conduit from your local hardware store. Most budget gongs you will find are low quality. If you donāt care about building up US manufacturing, just buy whatever is cheapest. This Conduit Gong Target System kit allows the hanging of a multitude of different gongs and it creates a safe shooting gallery of sorts. Swinging hooks lessen wear and tear on the system. Users could also use chains or straps fastened to the cross conduit pipe if desired. One thing to note: Be VERY careful what steel targets you purchase! While you CAN use other brands of target plates on our gong hanger, it is your responsibility to make sure you are purchasing safe steel and using them in a safe manner. We cannot guarantee safety or performance/distance recommendations with ANY gongs or target plates but our own. That isnāt a sales pitch. We just know there is much snake oil in this market. 1.) How Long Does It Take To Setup This System?
Answer: This system takes less than 60 seconds to assembly. Easily this is our fastest system to set up.
2.) How Much Weight Can This System Hold Up?
Answer: The Conduit Gong Stand is rated to hold approximately 30-40 pounds of gongs. You should not hang excessive weight on this system.Ā You will find better performance by keeping 3 or less gongs on this system. If you are looking for a system that holds a massive amount of weight, you may want to consider our Deluxe Gong Stand. Where the conduit system shines is the incredibly fast assembly time and ease of use. If that is most important to you, then this is probably the system for you.
3.) How Well Does The Powder Coating Hold Up?
Answer: The powder coating will only chip if you bang the components into something else, or if fragmentation hits it. Over time, expect some normal wear and tear on the finish. This is acceptable and normal. However, items that do not get hit with fragmentation will retain their finish for years to come. We donāt like the idea of shipping dusty rusted brackets to you. So we donāt. Just one other way we add value to our products.
4.) What is the warranty?
Answer: Genesis Systems feature a 90 day manufacturers warranty with an optional lifetime warranty you can purchase. You MUST use proper ammunition (less than 3,000 FPS, NO STEEL CORE OR PENETRATOR, AND follow our distance recommendations ALWAYS). For more information visit https://tatargets.com/warranty/
5.) What Is Included In This Gong Hanger Kit?
Answer: We include two gong hanger hooks and two āyā shaped brackets for the conduit. We currently do NOT carry the conduit for this system. You will need to visit your local hardware store for that. Make sure you purchase 3/4ā³ Conduit. The brackets for this system are mild steel and are not intended to be shot. Fragmentation will not be an issue, but you should ALWAYS insure your rounds do NOT impact the brackets, hooks, or conduit.
6.) What Length Conduit Should I Purchase?
Answer: Most conduit at your local hardware store will be 10ā² lengths. For this reason, we recommend you cut them down to 5ā² long. Most hardware stores can do this for you and we HIGHLY recommend letting a professional handle this part for you. A side benefit is most conduit is galvanized, which will protect it from rust for many years. For your benefit, we offer conduit pre-cut HERE.
7.) Country of Origin for these products?
Answer: We produce our products in Southeastern PA. We oversee every step of the process, QC, production, packaging, and shipping. We care about quality and create products with exacting tolerances.
8.) Is The Armor Plating On The Targets US Material?
Answer: Yes. The 3/8ā³ AR500 is a Domestic Material manufactured here in the United States. It is a great balance of low cost and longevity. You should NEVER use gongs at close range with rifles! 9.) Where Does The Rest Of The Steel Come From?
Answer: The Remainder of the steel is purchased from US mills. During economic crisis times, we have occasionally sourced Canadian steel for our A36/ HRPO steel. While this is rare, it does happen if/when US mills decide to shut down for fake pandemics and such. You remember 2020? In those situations we sometimes have our hands tied to keep customers orders moving. We never buy garbage plate and never buy Chinese plate.
10.) How Close Can I Shoot The Target?
Answer: The recommended distances would be based on the targets in use. Generally speaking, this system is meant for 10 yards with pistols, 25 yards with magnum caliber pistols, and 100 yards minimum for rifles. Always follow our safe shooting requirements.
11.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?
Answer: Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after youāve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
