Double Breakdown Target Base
The Double Breakdown Target Base is arguably the most unique base we have ever designed. It features FOUR 2X4 tubes bolted to our center leg section. On the outside are our BDB legs for the ultimate in footprint and stability. Users can get creative with how they utilize it for their training because of this.
Designed with versatility and adaptability in mind
While some people may find they don’t need the double base, others will find high value in this base. This base can accommodate up to FOUR Falling Tree uprights. Yes, FOUR. That is wild, and probably one of the most exciting systems ever. One thing to note: We HIGHLY recommend staking this base into dirt with our target base stakes if you are running multiple steel targets or falling tree uprights. You can find these stakes HERE.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1.) Will we continue manufacturing the Gen 1 or Gen 2 welded 20″ bases or our Double Ring Bases?
Answer: No. We are moving entirely away from welded bases. Having products you can maintain is critically important to our mission. Planned obsolescence is not a word we use or believe in. We believe in building it right the first time. We are also mildly obsessed with pursuing perfection. Additionally, this is a natural progression for our company.
2.) Will the Breakdown Base work with my current target systems?
Answer: The Double Breakdown Base is extremely versatile and can function in a host of different variations. This base is specifically designed for our MOD 1 Bullet Trap and Double Falling Tree, but users can get creative and mount an array of different steel and cardboard setups off one base.
3.) Does this mean the 26″ and Double 26″ bases will be discontinued?
Answer: Yes. To put it plainly: the Breakdown Base is the future of TA Targets on all fronts. Check our other product pages for more information on these specific products.
4.) Is the Breakdown Base made from armor?
Answer: No. The breakdown base is NOT a target. It is NOT designed to be shot. It will resist wear and tear from fragmentation, but direct impacts will cause damage. This has always been the case with our bases. The major difference is you can now fix your base if need be.
5.) What size wood boards are needed for the 2X4 tube and Paper Holder Tubes?
Answer: A standard 2X4 works fine for the 2X4 tube. Thus, it will fit “looser” than previous bases. We oversized this tube slightly to assist in removal of boards in damp environments. As far as paper holders are concerned, either use 1X2 furring strips OR the BEST option is to use our custom paper holder sticks. You can find them HERE.
6.) Where Are These Products Produced?
Answer: Our entire line of products are produced right here in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. We are sticklers for quality and consistency. We needed to keep our manufacturing under our wing. 7.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?
Answer:Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist. 8.) Can I download an instruction manual for this product?

9.) Does the Base come with any targets or other brackets?
Answer: No. This is JUST the base assembly. We showed the top bracket stowed inside the base in one of the gallery photos. This base does NOT include a Gen 5 top bracket when purchased separately. If you purchase a complete target system, it will come with everything you need.
