Paint Matters:

The presentation of your shooting range is important. Whether you are a professional entity, or you own your own private range, keeping your targets painted keeps your range looking fresh. Further, having a fresh coat of paint on your targets keeps rust at bay, further extending the life of your systems and components. The Mineral Bronze Spray Paint is a perfect match for ALL our Genesis AR500 Steel Target Plates.

Our Color Coding System

You will find that we follow a very simple color coding process for our steel targets. If you see a White Target Plate, that designates that it is our premium AR550 steel. If you see a Tan component, that means it is a NON-Strike Face product or component. That simply means it is NOT intended to be intentionally shot. The ONLY exception to that rule is our Hostage paddles. If you see a Mineral Bronze color, that means it is one of our Genesis AR500 Strike Plates. Keeping this color coding is important as it gives you a fast reference to which target plates you may be engaging.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?

Answer: Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist. 2.) Do I have to use this color spray paint for my target plates?

Answer: No. You can use whatever color spray paint you would like. We do recommend keeping our original color scheme, as it is a quick reference to help you identify which targets are on your range. However, you can use whatever colors you would like.

3.) Where are these cans of paint produced?

Answer: We use a third party paint manufacturer for these paints. They manufacture the paint to our specification to match our target plate factory colors as closely as possible.

4.) How many targets can one can paint?

Answer: That will vary wildly. It depends on how large of a plate you are spraying and how thick of a coat you use. However, you can expect 9-12 reduced C Zones, likely around 6-8 C Zones, maybe around 24 paddles if you spray thin enough coats. Stock up on paint so you always have what you need.
