Plate Rack Leg Stiffener
The Plate Rack Leg Stiffener is a welded and armored brace. You can bolt this brace to any generation Phoenix Plate Rack that features our adjustable armored posts. This leg stiffener does exactly what it sounds like: It provides even more rigidity to the Phoenix system. No matter how you shoot, this is an accessory you can add now or later to gain even more strength from your Phoenix Plate Rack.
Manufactured to exacting standards
This stiffener is manufactured from 1/4″ AR500 steel. We chose this material to balance cost and performance. While we cannot recommend INTENTIONALLY shooting the brace (over time that will damage it), it IS designed to take stray hits, frag, and debris. The front of the stiffener is angled down to further protect the brace. Additionally, this forward lean will direct fragmentation of stray hits to the ground.
Who should consider this brace?
If you buy a Phoenix rack for your home range, you likely do not “need” this brace. If you operate a high volume facility OR want to mount wheels to your phoenix bases (some customers do this for indoor ranges), the stiffener will be an important upgrade.
