12″ Round AR500 Gong
The 12″ Round AR500 Gong Target is manufactured from 3/8″ AR500 Steel. 3/8″ Domestic AR500 steel creates a balance of low price and good performance. This gong features (2) square holes that can accept hooks to mount to our Conduit Gong System or Deluxe Gong System. Additionally, this gong can be used with our Tee Post Gong Hanger and Single Hole Gong Hanger. For single hole mounting you simply will only use ONE of the holes for the 1/2″ Carriage bolt. Laser cutting machines ensure precise dimensional cuts that minimize the heat affected zone during production.

Built For All Types Of Training
Real training demands quality target plates. Genesis Gong Target Deliver on that promise. Maintain the following safe distances during use:
- Pistols: 10+ Yards
- Magnum pistols: 25+ Yards
- .223/5.56 NATO (3,000 FPS or less): 100+ Yards
- .308 win (and similar):100 yards+
- Magnum rifles: 200+ Yards MINIMUM.
The 12″ Round AR500 Gong is NOT 50 BMG rated. Please be sure you never use penetrator, steel core, or armor piercing ammunition. Never engage Genesis Gongs at close ranges with your rifles. Our A-DAP systems are a better fit for close range rifle training. Close range rifle use WILL void any warranties and/or guarantees and WILL result in premature wear and tear. Use the Genesis gongs properly and they will last you for many years to come.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1.) How Do I Know What Proper Ammunitions Is?
Answer: Ammunition should be a lead core, copper jacket bullet. Muzzle velocity of rifles should NEVER exceed 3,000 FPS or damage may occur. Armor piercing ammunition, steel core, penetrator, or exotic machined solid bullets are NOT approved for use on the Genesis Gong Target Plates.
2.) Steel Target Plate Compatibility:
Answer: The Genesis Gongs work with our Deluxe Gong Hanger, Conduit Gong Hanger, Single Hole Gong Hanger, and our Tee Post Gong Hanger. The Genesis Target pages & product category will showcase all the acceptable options.
3.) What Material Is The Target Plate?
Answer: This target plate is manufactured from Domestic (USA) AR500 steel and is 3/8″ Thick. It is NOT the AR550 steel that we use on our A-DAP target systems.
4.) Will This Target Experience Wear And Tear?
Answer: Everything has a lifespan. When used properly, the Genesis gong target plates will last many thousands of rounds and many, many years. You can expect some edge chips if the edges are struck with high velocity rifles. Additionally, if you are a very high volume shooter you may eventually experience the expected lifespan of these target plates. Replace the target plate if pits, chips or cracks occur. If pitting occurs, increase distance or change ammunition, or both. Using any of our approved hanging methods ensures the longest life possible from your gong target plates.
5.) Do We Produce This System In The US?

6.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?
Answer:Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist. 7.) What Warranty Is Offered On This Product?
Answer: Genesis gong target plates feature a 30-day manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects. Additionally, we offer extended lifetime limited warranties on certain products. If you desire more protection, purchase the extended warranty for ease of mind. The good news is these targets are inexpensive.
