Add an Adjustable Armored Post to your target system to get the most out of your range days. **Choose the Goliath option ONLY if you have a Goliath WITH A 26″ base or Breakdown base and extension. If using a Goliath system or ANY other A-DAP system with a standard Breakdown Base, select the standard A-DAP armored post.**

The Adjustable Armored Post is our third generation of armored posts. In previous years, our armored posts were a solid welded unit that was available in three different heights. We took a proven concept and developed it into an even more versatile package.

The New Adjustable Post offers more durability and more versatility.

Versatility and portability were our key areas of focus with this new armored post. The adjustable design affords 3 different heigh settings for the end user. This allows our customers to fine tune the post for their needs. A side benefit of the adjustable design is more efficiency during production. This means less waste. Less waste means lower price. Lower price: Happier YOU.

You can expect the same high quality fit, finish and function from this post. This post works with the following products: C Zone A-DAP, Mini A-DAP, Mini Vital Zone, Vital Zone, MOD 1 Bullet Trap.

Included when you order the ADAP Gen3 Armored 3/8″ Post are
  • Gen 3 Armored Bottom Post (slides into ANY TAT base)
  • Gen 3 Splice Plate (bolts into the Bottom with the use of 1\2″ by 1.5″ carriage bolt, 1\2″ flat washer, and 1\2 locknut)
  • Gen 3 Top Post (bolts onto the Splice Plate, your target plate mounds directly onto this piece.)
  • 1\2″ by 1.5″ carriage bolts (6 count)
  • 1\2″ flat washer (6 count)
  • 1\2 locknut (6 count)

Frequently Asked Questions

1.) Who Should Consider the Adjustable Armored Post?
  • Anyone looking to spend more time shooting and less time replacing 2X4 boards. We used to market these posts mostly to high volume ranges, but we have found that ALL shooters benefit from running armored posts.
2.) Will these armored posts work with my older A-DAP systems?
  • Yes! These are backwards compatible. These will work with C Zone, Mini A-DAP, Mini Vital, and Vital Zone Targets. They will also work for our MOD 1 Bullet Trap. Our Goliath can even use these when used with the 20″ base, Arachnid, or…future bases that are coming. NOT recommended when using the Goliath and 26″ base for calibers like 50 BMG.
3.) What tools are needed to assemble?
  • Users should have a 3/4″ Open end wrench and a 3/8″ drive ratchet and 3/4″ Deep socket. Or just use two 3/4″ open end wrenches. The nuts included are lock nuts, so they will go on snug.
4.) Is using an armored post safe?
  • Yes! Stray fragmentation from bullet plate impacts will not affect the armored posts. Users should note: the armored post is NOT a target and is NOT designed to be used for direct impacts. It IS possible to introduce wear and tear to the post from direct blows with high velocity rounds.
5.) What distance can I use the armored post at?
  • For most rifle calibers we would recommend 50 yards. For pistols: 10 yards.
6.) What is the country of Manufacture?
  • We manufacture these right here in SE PA. The material we use, like our target plates, is sourced from Sweden. The swedes know a thing or two about armor, and this plate is the absolute best plate we have found in the world. PERIOD. We order direct from the mill to our own specs, then cut, form, weld, and finish here in Lancaster County PA. Our blood sweat and tears are poured into these products so you have the best performing, safest targets available.
7.) Does this product fall under Prop. 65 warnings?
  • Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
