This is more than a target, this is training revolution

We love USPSA Targets, but they aren’t always the best tool for every task. We got to work creating a more affordable, more valuable target that is a more honest size. This target is a C Zone Shape (Approx 12″w X 24″h) made from high quality corrugated board. It’s stronger than standard USPSA Targets, more versatile, and offers far more value. Additionally, we printed target zones and drills onto each side of the target. You get TWO targets in one. If you’re on the hunt for a target that offers real training value at a very affordable price, the C Zone Cardboard Target is the one.

Description

C Zone Cardboard Target

Our C Zone Cardboard Target is not just another target. This is a highly versatile and functional training target. Whether you train pistols, rifles, or shotguns, this target offers unique target zones, shapes, and sizes to build fundamentals. The two side print gives you control of the style of training you are embarking on. Want to perform dot drills with your handgun? Use Side A. Want a more traditional competition style cardboard shooting target? Side B has you covered. No matter where or how you train, this target offers value unlike anything else on the market. Period.

Description of Side A

Side A of our C Zone Cardboard Target offers an 8″ circle that holds a 6″ circle in the center. If your department qualifies on 6″ or 8″ circles, this target has you covered. In the “head zone” there is a 4″ inverted triangle for pushing your skill with pistols. Towards the bottom, there are 12 1″ circles. These are fantastic for working your trigger manipulations with a pistol. Do your part, hit the small circles. Flinch, and you’ll miss. Last, there is an array of 3/4″ Diamonds vertically up both sides. There is a line of diamonds horizontally across the bottom as well.

For the vertical diamonds, users can confirm turret tracking with their rifle at 100 yards. Hold on the 0MOA or 0MIL diamond, dial to the next diamond and your rounds should follow properly. Then dial back down to zero to confirm tracking of your turrets. Not every scope tracks properly. This will tell the story. Additionally, you can perform the same test with windage on the horizontal row of diamonds. Further, the diamonds are perfect for zeroing your rifle, even if you aren’t testing your turrets.

Description of Side B

Side B of our C Zone Cardboard Target is much like what you will find on a more traditional USPSA target. It is a C Zone outer size / shape. Additionally, there is a smaller A Zone “Head Box” and a center A Zone. If you’re running speed drills, doubles, or transitions, this side might be the perfect side for you. The good news: This is a TWO SIDED target. Meaning, you get two targets in one. Talk about versatile and capable.

Base Compatibility

This C Zone Target is smaller than our USPSA Targets. Our target bases were originally designed specifically for USPSA dimensions, but the good news is they will work for this target. One thing to note: The BEST combination for this target is our Genesis Target Base OR our Cardboard Base with our Standard Paper Holders. If you are running SMALLER 8.5X11 paper targets, then we’d say go with the Extended Paper Holders. On the Genesis Base, the extended paper holders reduce the distance between the furring strips. Additionally, this lines the furring strips up perfectly for Small Targets. You CAN use the extended paper holders with this C Zone Cardboard Target if you already own them.

However, the Breakdown Base and 20″ Gen 3 Round Base CAN work. They aren’t “as good” as they do not have as much adjustment as the Cardboard Base or Genesis Base. But they do work, so if you already have one, you can use it. If you have a gen 2 Cardboard Base, your base has extra holes to accommodate this target as well. Gen 2 Cardboard Bases have (3) holes in the center leg for each paper holder and the holes are labeled “A”, “B”, and “C”. But don’t worry: If you have the original Cardboard Base, our Breakdown Base, or our 20″ Gen 3 base, there is enough tolerance in the mounting sticks to run this cardboard target.

Frequently Asked Questions
1.) Should I choose this target or USPSA Targets?

Answer: That depends on your training objective. If you are a newer shooter and you want a framework to train fundamentals that keep you honest, the C Zone is the best option. The downside of a USPSA target is they are big, more expensive, and they do not have focused target zones. This means YOU have to determine if your inputs and outputs matched your objective. This is not always ideal for new shooters. On the C Zone, you can run dot drills, speed drills, and be held accountable to a higher standard. Plus, they are very affordable. If you are shooting competitions or setting up competition stages, then the USPSA makes the most sense.

2.) What are all the shapes and sizes?

Answer: The front of the target features an 8″ circle and a 6″ circle in the center. Then there is a 4″ Triangle. The small dots are 1″ and they are specifically for isolating fundamentals with pistols. Use the larger circles and triangles for transitions, throttle controls drills, or doubles and so much more. The Diamonds are perfect for zeroing your rifle. Additionally, you can do turret test drills to ensure your turrets are accurately tracking at 100 yards. On the rear of the target is a more traditional head A Zone and center A Zone. Use this for any kind of training.

3.) What kind of quantities do you offer?

Answer: We currently have 10 packs, 25 Packs, and 50 Packs. Soon we will offer skid quantities for bulk orders. If you desire to place a bulk order, email us at info@tatargets.com.

4.) Which base is best for these cardboard targets?

Answer: The simple answer is ANY of our target plates featuring our paper holders will work with these targets. But, the Breakdown Base and 20″ Gen 3 Base do not have as much adjustment in the spacing as the Genesis Base or Cardboard Base. For that reason, the Genesis Base is our go-to as it is inexpensive and can also be used for steel targets. Or, go with our Cardboard Target Base if you don’t need the ability to mount a steel target. No matter which one you choose, it will serve you well.

5.) Is there enough cardboard for staples and clamps?

Answer: Yes, although you do have to pay attention to how you mount the cardboard. If you are using the MOA or MIL elevated zero diamonds, you want to make sure that your rounds are not constantly hitting your mounting stick. Zero your rifle FIRST, then move onto the elevation diamonds. Obviously impacting the wooden sticks will wear them out quickly.

6.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?

Answer:Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, lead tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
