Reduced C Zone Stencil
The Reduced C Zone Stencil is a sheet metal, press brake bent stencil that can be placed over your target plate to paint an A Zone or Reduced A Zone. We offer two options for this stencil, either a reduced A Zone or a full A Zone. Depending on your type of shooting, you may want the closest size to a true A Zone. If you want more of a challenge, the reduced A Zone will give you exactly that.
Using Steel Targets Smarter
Steel targets are an amazing tool for training, but they can “lie” to you as well. Simply shooting large plates doesn’t always push the skill development you will need. The stencils we offer allow you to paint a smaller target onto the target plate. This does a number of things for you as a shooter. First, it gives you a visually smaller target to shoot for. This forces a higher level of accountability during your training. Secondly, this focus on a smaller target means you are gaining the benefit of higher accountability on larger targets that ring louder. Smaller steel plates often do not ring very loud when struck. Maybe you already have a C Zone plate and want A Zone accountability.
So which size stencil is right for you?
The Reduced A Zone Stencil measures approximately and the “Full A Zone” measures approximately 6″ X 11″. One thing to note: the full A Zone isn’t technically full. This is because we had to “chop” the corners of the A zone to fit on a reduced Ā C Zone. The A Zone and Reduced C Zone are VERY close in comparison, so this modification was needed to fit the plate. The width and height are accurate to a true A Zone. If you want to train on an actual A Zone for consistency, the Full A Zone stencil will likely be the better option for you.
